Hello friends

It is back to the grind this week. J and I had a great time in KC last weekend, even though it was cold. Actually it has been REALLY cold here in NWA, so please pray warm weather gets here quickly! I am not a fan of the cold and it is COLD here, it snowed on Monday.

Trying to keep up with all my pictures on here was not working perfectly, so I started a shutterfly account.
It is password protected, so if you would like access you can email me at kristin.durant@gmail.com and I will happily pass it out! I  just didn't want just any rando able to see (and probably steal) the millions of cute pictures of Fenway. =)

Also a few weeks back my work (UREC) got in on the flash mob trend. Click here to see our video of the event. Nothing too huge, but we did get crowd participation! Can you find me? Hint: I am the one with the GoPro camera.

Everything else is calm on the Arkansas front. J is preparing for the spring game in April and I am (ahem) just ready for it be warm so I can take Fen on walks, the dog park and other fun places. Plus J & I love to be outside and we need warm weather to do that.

Update: Our spin bike has not arrived yet, but we promise we will tell you when it does!

Kansas City:
We had a great time on our first married trip without her pup. Apparently she was a favorite at the vet and everyone would pull her out and play with her when they went back there. They said that was because she got along well with all the other dogs, gave really good kisses, and they just couldn't resist that face and those ears. Needless to say her Mom and Dad were very proud of her, but glad to have her back home.

On our way to KC it snowed! We spent the next few days touring the city, going to art museums, and just spending time together.

Boulevard Brewery.

Yummy cupcakes.

The LaSalle basketball team was staying at our hotel. They got a big win, their bus driver lost  in the fight of whatever he hit.

Nelson Museum of Art

Fen enjoying the snow.

City Market spices.
Our 9 month anniversary dinner.

We hope everyone has a great Easter and we hope to see you soon.

love love love y'all,
K

Blog Lovin'

I know, I know, I know, I have been gone a long time (ahem Kelley).

I guess there is a lot to catch up on. J started spring ball and has been busy. I was in Vegas last week for our annual NIRSA conference. What is that you ask, well it is the National Intramural- Recreational Sports Association. It is where all other university rec professionals gather and share ideas, learn about new products, etc. It really is a fun time. Just being in Vegas for that long was exhausting.

But the most exciting news of the conference is that... I won a Spin bike! I know pretty perfect for the Spin instructor who even convinced her parents to purchase one. So I will tell you the story...
Just kidding, we got a pedometer in our conference welcome bag and I was like "what the hey", I will try it. So you got to put a ticket in the drawing at 4,000;11,000 and 20,000 steps (3 tickets at 20,000). So I walked all those steps and filled out 5 tickets and entered them into the drawing. They were supposed to draw at 2:30 and I was waiting with my friend Ambre (one of my bridesmaids, she works at Florida's rec dept), just to see if I won, because the next 5 tickets drawn after the bike got $100. Well no announcement so Ambre and I left. Not 5 minutes later I get a call from my boss telling me I won. He had known that I was entering the drawing, so I thought he was just joking with me. I told him that wasn't funny, because I really wanted that bike. (Welcome to years of living with my father and my huge family who think playing jokes on people is funny, hence my skepticism). I would not believe him until he put the Spin bike rep on the phone and she told me that I won.
On Facebook for the whole world to see.

Our new spin bike!
So we exchanged information and J and I will be getting a spin bike here in a few weeks. We are really excited and it will be nice to be able to jump on the bike for a quick workout! All are welcome to come see and ride the new bike. Also sorry to future guests, the bike will be in your room. =)

Other than winning in Vegas without spending money! I took a few pictures with some pretty awesome people on the strip.
If you don't know who this is then you need to watch Vegas Strip.

Disturbing yet hilarious at the same time.  Thank you to my father who told me AFTER I sent him this picture that these guys are usually HUGE drug addicts.
So that is all that is going on in the D household right now. We are VERY ready for Spring weather and to go to a few warm Razorback baseball games. Spring Break (J is off, I am not and am very jealous) is this next week and we may make a weekend trip to KC or St. Louis but no plans have been made yet.

And of course, some pictures/video of us and our favorite 4-legged child.

If you need someone to clean your tubs, just give us a call.
