A little life

Well Howdy y'all! I guess I have been non-existent lately. Sorry, since getting back from vacay, I have just been trying to catch up, get ready for school to start and J started football. So life has been very very busy. Also we got excellent news last week, Fen has been cleared! So she is allowed to run, jump, play and be her just cheerful/exuberant self. She/We are so happy to have our couches back and no more futon. Of course, we still have to be careful of the pins in her arms (3 in each if I remember correctly). But so far she hasn't slowed down a bit. She has played with her friend Major, but he has doubled in size since she last saw him. But we are going to re-introduce her to the dog park. We know she cannot wait.

She has her one year check up this Saturday. Right now she is holding steady at 37 lbs, so she may be this tiny forever. And with her affinity to sit on our laps/ jump on our laps, we like that she may stay at that size.

Football is going good for J. He is busy, but we have had cool weather and rain, so that makes practice better.

We celebrate our 1 year anniversary on Sunday. It is crazy to think that 1 year ago I was marrying the man of my dreams, wow. At times it feels like yesterday that we were married. Our big one year celebration is our trip to the DR, so this weekend will be low key and perfect. I plan on having a recap blog on our first year of marriage, so stay tuned for that.

To rehab Fen's legs she has to go on two walks a day. We increase the distance every week, this is what happens after 1 walk. Not sure the vet understood that Fenway doesn't do two walks a day.  Yes, she is asleep if you were wondering.

Welcome! I have been working more on the look of the blog recently! I have learned that I did not miss my calling as a computer programmer (since I was really worried about that!). After lots of googling some improvements that were made:

• a new blog header
• updating kristinleigh18.blogspot to send you here in case you forget the new address
• a new signature at the bottom of each post, that is actually my handwriting! I know right, that took me a while
• New section at the bottom of each post called "you might like" referring you to other posts

That is all I have done at the moment, but for me these were BIG accomplishments. I hope everyone is having a great Friday and have a great weekend!

Take A Little Note

It has so many applications that made it just feel right:

• I want my blog to be a place where people can come get quick workout/dinner/life ideas, ie Take a little note. 
• My writing is quick, to the point and note like. 
• George Strait is amazing
• I like to take complicated things and simplify them down, ie notes!

• I love this song and the lyrics. It just reminds me how important it is to tell people how much they mean to you. Not only verbally, but down on paper.
